Older posts and re-uploads

Hello friends!

I have recently been getting quite a few requests for re-uploads of older posts which have expired due to lack of use (mostly those on sites such as "Zippyshare.") For Zippyshare, if no one downloads a file in 30 days, the links expire. The upside of Zippyshare is it is free. Other service which hold onto links forever will cost a certain amount of money per year.

I have in fact heard your requests and understand your desire to be able to enjoy these great older LPs which have very few sources where they can be experienced.

I cannot answer each request individually because of time constraints -- plus the answer is the same -- I will get around to doing it as soon as I can. Unfortunately, it takes just as long to re-upload an LP as it did to upload the LP in the first place. None of the transferring or photographing or writing will need to take place, but because I will be uploading to a different web host, I still need to do them one at a time.

Sometimes this involves me locating on my various hard drives the original files with all the artwork and etc included. This can also add time.

Please do not hesitate to let me know when a link is dead. ESPECIALLY if a link from "ADrive" is dead because they are supposed to never expire.

My plan is to have all non-ADrive links converted to ADrive links by the end of the year. When I have completed transferring a batch of a half dozen or so links I will put up a quick post to alert you.

In the meantime I strongly suggest you explore some other great blogs listed on the right and also check out the www.discogs.com seller account of "Tawfiq49" who has access to a wholesaler's new old stock (unsold albums in unplayed condition). He packs his mailers carefully and does not seem to add any cost for postage above and beyond what he himself has to pay. By letting you know about him I am only hurting myself and my opportunities to obtain these treasures, so go wild and get some original beauties!

I truly thank you for following this blog and taking it (and the music) seriously. This is music which has stood the test of time. Please keep listening to the posts and thinking about what effects the music has upon you and your state of mind.

Finally, I would like to remind you about something we should keep in mind during these very dark days on Planet Earth...

"If Peace, Love and Kindness is not the answer, then you are asking the wrong question."

Thank you!
